Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Katie began performing on stage at a young age. Along with many years of vocal training, Katie had a very active high school career including singing with many choirs and starring as the leading lady in her high school's musicals. While in her Junior year, Katie began working as a Nanny, which she is still doing 15 years later! After graduating, Katie played many roles in community and professional theater, her favorite being Maria in The Sound of Music. As a vocalist, Katie has sung for many weddings and special occasions, as well as our National Anthem at many sporting events, including the Portland Sea Dogs and Portland Pirates. After marrying her husband Todd in 2004 (whom she met in the theater), she went on to study Early Childhood Education at Southern Maine Community College. Today, Katie is a mom of two young girls, Ella and London, and continues to work as a Nanny and a Worship Leader for a local church. She is excited to begin teaching at Music Together after years of participating in the program both as a Nanny and as a mom.
